What do I need to setup a website?
To get your business online you need a unique domain name for your customers to find you. It has to be relevant to your business and standout as your business. Example www.google.com or www.microsoft.com. These are domain names. Many simple domain names have already been registered for example www.advertising.com. Please consult the Constructive Visual sales team to find out what domain names are available. These domain names require either a 1 year or 2 year renewal period,

Now that you have a domain name to find you, you will now need a hosting account to store your website onto a web server. This will allow 24/7 access to your website from anywhere around the world as well as the reliability and stableability of showcasing your website. This too requires a 1 year annual renewal period.

What is renewal?
For a website you will need to pay a annual renewal for web hosting. This is for the upkeep and maintenance of the website for the year. This ensures another successful year of your website being displayed on the world wide web.

Your website will also require a payment of your domain name. Depending on the type of domain name it will be due annually or every two years.

For all Micropage users your "Micropage" requires an annual renewal to keep your micropage displayed on the Micropage website. Please visit Micropage for more information.

Can I provide my own hosting?
If you have organised your own domain name and/or hosting Constructive Visual can assist in setting up your website onto your hosting providers account.

NOTE: Constructive Visual takes NO RESPONSIBILITY for lack of functionality if some parts of the designed website don't work on third party hosting providers. The client takes full responibility for the choices of their account actions. Further charges may apply to make ammendments to the website for lack of fuctionality on the hosting providers account.

Do you do private websites?
Yes, We provide private websites for our clients. We cater not only for businesses but also for people who wish to create their own website based on any topic or themselves.

What is a Content Management System?
Content Management System is a backend componant to your website which allows you access your website via an administrator password protected panel to log into a page in which you may edit the text and images which is displayed on your website. Without a CMS (Conent Management System) you are unable to edit your own website. A CMS requires basic knowledge of HTML language and/or Microsoft Word.

How can I get a quotation?
If you contact Construcitve Visual on (08)6364 0126 we can provide you with a quote over the phone or arrange a consultation. Please note that a consultation fee may apply.

Alternatively you can use the "contact us" section of this website and fill in the form requesting a quotation. Please give us as much information as you can on your requirements for a website. (domain name, hosting, 5 pages, content management system, 3 people to edit the website, picture gallery, forum etc)

Do you have any examples of work?
Yes, in our "products" section of our website we have an example slideshow at the bottom of the page and in the "websites" section we have some examples of our work.

How can I make changes myself to my static website?
You will need an FTP program like coreFTP lite to make changes to your website. You will also need a program like notepad ++ to edit the code to your website. Please Note: You will need some knowledge of HTML / PHP / Javascript to understand the code that you are editing.

Constructive Visual insist that if you decide to edit your static website manually that you carefully research the files that you are editing, Constructive Visual offers very limited assistance to you updating your website. A "Do-It-Yourself" (DIY) Manual can be provided for $15 but Constructive Visual offers no loss or damage disclaimer for the use of the manual. No warranties are guaranteed and is provided as a "as is" product apon request.

We suggest that a qualified Constructive Visual staff member should edit your website for maximum results. A fee would be charged for this service.

If you make any changes to your website which are a direct result from you or anyone that has accessed your website and updating fee will be changed to rectify your website back to a working state.

How can I include pictures to my website?
Yes, If you have a Content Management System or a Image Gallery you can simply upload your images as per the instructions in your manual. If you would like to include more images to your static website please contact Constructive Visual to discuss where you would like to place the images on your website.

An updating fee will be charged for this service.

What is a picture gallery?
A picture gallery will make Your website standout from the crowd. It is a supurb collection of images that are arranged in folders to display to all internet users on your website. The gallery comes complete with a user manual and you have full control of uploading images to your website and granting multi-user access.

What is a forum?
A forum will give you an option on your website to come together as a community with your own interactive page where people from around the world can sign up to your website to have open discussion on any raised topics on your website.

What is a domain name?
Apon getting a website you will need to register a "Domain Name". This is the unique www. name in which your users can identify you by. We suggest to keep the domain name short and relevant to you, your name and/or your business. Please contact Constructive Visual to see if your requested domain name is available and not already registered.

What does hosting mean?
Apon getting a website you are also required a hosting account. This is a requirement that website needs to be on a fast dedicated web server that is accessable to the world wide web 24/7.

How do I subscribe to the Constructive Visual Newsletter?
Visit the newsletter section of this website and fill out your name, email address and click on the send button. Once completed Constructive Visual will email you the latest newsletter releases.

What are the Constructive Visual payment options?

What web browser do you recommend to view your website?
All of Constructive Visual's websites are tested in Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Although all effort is expanded into building websites to cater for browsers we can not guarentee full functionality outside of Internet Explorer and Firefox.

How do I login to my account?
On the left panel of the Constructive Visual website you will need to enter your username and password from your "client login card" which you were provided by Constructive Visual.

What happens if I forget my password?

How do I reset my password?

How do I edit my details?
Click on the "Edit" button below the Details Section of the Client Control Panel. This will give you complete access to make changes to your details.

What happens if I've lost my Client Login Card?
I you have lost your "Client Login Card" please contact Constructive Visual to get a replacement sent to you. A fee of $10 will be charged for replacement Client Login Cards.

NOTE: If you require a change of password for your account you still will be charged the above amount for a replacement card if you have request a replacement card.

How do I logout?
Click on the "logout" button on the top right hand side navigation bar located in the Client account section.

What happens if my password isn't working? I can't login?
Check to see that your "Caps Lock" button isn't on.
The password is case sensitive - make sure you specify capitals and lower case letters.
Check to see your "F LOCK" button is enabled on your keyboard to access buttons like: ! @ # $ % & * etc.
Have you tested your password on another computer.
Have you tried a different web browser.
Have you typed in the username correctly.
